Ngleshie Amamfrom residents celebrate Bayere festival

Traditional priests in Ngleshie Amanfrom have celebrated the annual bayere festival.

The bayere festival is celebrated annually by the various chief priests across the country.

Speaking to Rainbow Radio’s Banahene, Numo Kankam, the former acting chief of Ngleshie Amanfrom and currently the Akwasa Wulomor who joined residents to celebrate the festival was happy and said the festival is annual event that is celebrated to acknowledge the gods for their blessings.

He also asked for the gods to shower their blessings on the traditional leaders and residents as they mark this festival and also help them achieve their aim.

Nii kwarshie Gborlor used the opportunity to educate the public on the difference between culture and idols worshiping.

He said culture is not the act of worshipping idol but is the matter of educating the youth to uphold their cultural values and learn from their tradition. In attendance were the MP for the area, Hon Habib Saad, the MCE, Mr. Joseph Nyarni, and the Police Commander.
