Newsfile examines suits against EC and effect on Dec 7 polls

Following the Electoral Commission’s disqualification of 13 flagbearers from contesting the presidential election on December 7, and a subsequent High Court ruling that overturned the decision, keen observers have suggested that other suits against the EC is likely to affect the elections scheduled for December 7.

As the Electoral Commission heads to Supreme Court to contest the High Court verdict, Mrs. Charlotte Osei has told the BBC in an interview that nothing would change the date already slated for the election to be held.
