Newborn baby stolen at Atebubu maternity home

A 20-year-old mother at Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo region has been severely traumatized following the disappearance of her baby a few hours after she gave birth in a maternity home.

Grace Kuma reportedly delivered a baby boy around 12 midnight at the Ante Joe’s Maternity Home on Wednesday.

According to her, she fell deeply asleep after delivery.

However, in a bizarre twist of events, her baby was nowhere to be found when she woke up from the slumber.

Narrating the incident to Starr News, Kuma said she suspects the father of the baby for stealing her son.

She said her son’s father denied responsibility for the pregnancy and had been threatened on several occasions by his sister.

“When I got pregnant, the father of the baby denied responsibility, even his sister and his other girlfriend have threatened me on several occasions. He came to see me after I delivered but he did not say anything to me.”
