New NPP Executive Visits Kufuor

Accra, March 17, GNA – The newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party paid a courtesy call on former president John Agyekum Kufuor and his Vice Alhaji Aliu Mahama at their residences in Accra.

A statement signed by Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, General Secretary, said the visit was to introduce the Executives to the two leaders who took the party through two electoral victories and to ask for their support in resolving a few conflicts bedeviling the party.

Former President Kufuor congratulated the executives and assured them of his support and advice to move the party forward.

He urged them to discharge their duties diligently and fairly and to abide by the party’s rules to ensure unity and oneness of purpose in winning back power in the next election.

The newly elected chairman, Mr. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, thanked both the Former President and Vice President for their support and promised to do everything in their power to win back power in the 2012 election so as to bring back smiles to Ghanaians. 17 March 10
