New Mfantseman DCE visits decentralised departments

Saltpond (C/R), Oct. 27, GNA – The New District Chief Executive for Mfantseman, Mr. Robert Quainoo Arthur has paid his maiden familiarization visit to a number of decentralised departments at Saltpond on his assumption of duty.

The visit was to enable the DCE whose nomination the assembly confirmed on October 3, this year, to interact with the staff of the various departments. Mr. Frank Neequaye, Pres iding Member and some staff of the assembly accompanied Mr. Arthur, 42, a former manager of Quality Insurance Company Limited, on the rounds.

He called for support and cooperation of the staff in the effort to improve the standard of living of the people.

“I cannot do the work alone, I will need your cooperation and advice in moving the district forward,” he said.

The DCE said his doors were opened and that was prepared to listen to any constructive suggestions and criticisms but cautioned that people should not see that as a licence to malign others.

Mr. Neequaye said the long absence of a substantive DCE had retarded development of the area and appealed to heads of the departments and their staff to be more dedicated to their duties.
