An investigation carried by Classic news indicates that hardened criminals and armed robbers operating in the country have resulted to hiding out after criminal activities at New Krobo, a suburb in the Techiman Municipality.
The revelation continued that after various robberies, snatching of cars, rape and other criminal acts the alleged criminals do come to Techiman to relax, enjoy with girls and importantly plan the next line of their action for a booked plan.
If listeners would recollect, a robber during last year was shot by police in the Northern Region during a short out and Classic news can confirm that the deceased was a resident of Techiman New Krobo.
Kofi Doe Lawson who has been monitoring the story for about a year has observed that these robbers had acquired lands and put up mansions harboring their relations and nationwide wanted criminals and most of the criminals use the base as a refreshing centre after a hard core robbery.
The alleged young guys both female and male are 17-25 years who are in possession of posh cars leave good when on robbery holydays in the Techiman Municipality since they have adopted the Municipality as a peaceful area that makes them feel at home when back.
Some of the criminals have been alleged to be doing secret armed robbery teachings and training for young Techiman guys who have expressed an interest in the robbery and criminal activities since they have no job.
Some of the criminals after graduation do their attachment in the Techiman Market terrorizing innocent traders and business men with cutlasses, clubs, sharp items and locally manufactured guns from various magazines in the country before they are sent on national assignments.
The reporter revealed that before a graduated armed robber is sent on a national or regional assignment the personality is taken through a ritual cleansing and incantations the ring leaders for spiritual backings from known and powerful fetish priests and priestesses in scattered in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Some residents in the New Krobo area who had a chart with Kofi Doe Lawson said most of them are living in fear since some of the criminals have threatened to kill them if they dare attempt to report to the security apparatus or expel them to the general public.
Classic news is therefore appealing to the Techiman Municipal Police to do an investigation and come out with a strategy to tract down and apprehend these suspected criminals working hard to tarnish the security image of the Techiman Municipality and the country at large.
