New Juabeng hit with shortage of health workers

The New Juaben Municipality has been hit with a shortage of healthcare workers.

The situation is reportedly affecting quality healthcare delivery in the municipality.

Health facilities in the Municipality are in dire need of Midwives, Physician Assistants and Technical officers to help deliver quality healthcare for residents.

The only Poly Clinic available at Koforidua is also feeling the pinch. Municipal Director of Health, Dr. Kwaku Senaya told Starr News health facilities in the area have started engaging retired health personnel for services.

“We don’t have enough midwives, physician assistants, technical officers and most of them are on retirement and the situation is so bad that we had to employ those on retirement”.
