New EC head assumes duty

Accra, Oct. 14, GNA – Mr Filiberto Cerriani Sebregoni would on Monday assume duty in Ghana as the new Head of Delegation of the European Commission (EC) and Ambassador to Ghana.

A statement issued by the European Union in Accra on Friday said the 51-year-old has held various challenging positions within the EC. Before his appointment, Mr Sebregoni was Head of Unit Europe Aid Cooperation Office, a team attached to the Director-General in Charge of General Coordination.

He was also an Assistant to the Director-General of the EC Directorate for Development in charge of overall policy coordination and quality assurance.
