New E/R NDC Chairman joins Muslims for thanksgiving

Mr Bismark Tawiah Boateng, elected Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), joined Muslims at the Koforidua Central Mosque on Friday for thanksgiving prayers.

Mr Tawiah-Boateng, his executives and some leading members of the party in the region were at the Mosque to thank God for seeing them through congress and to seek His favour and guidance in their endeavours.

Mr Boateng thanked the Zongo chiefs, the Chief Imam and the entire Muslim Community for their support and prayers for a successful congress that saw him and his executives emerge victorious.

He urged the Muslim Community to continue to support and pray for the country and the Government to deliver on its promises to the people.

He said the Government had recently solved the water problem facing parts of the Greater Accra and Eastern regions and expressed the hope that the power crisis would also be solved.

He assured the Muslim Community of his preparedness to help them acquire a permanent office building for the Eastern Regional Chief Imam and offices for the other Moslem chiefs.

Mr Boateng appealed to members to take an active part in the forthcoming District Assembly elections to elect competent leaders to ensure development of their localities.
