New branch of Methodist Church inaugurated

Ahodwo (Ash), Aug 16, GNA- The Ahodwo Methodist Church near Sepaase in the Atwima district of Ashanti was on Sunday inaugurated with a call on Christians to develop religious tolerance.

The Very Reverend Emmanuel Asare-Kusi, Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Atwima-Koforidua circuit who made the call, said it was not proper to condemn one’s religion.

He therefore cautioned ministers of the gospel to desist from condemning and instigating their members against the religion of others.

The Rev Asare-Kusi said there was the need for Christians to endure hardships, adding, “We must not compete and struggle for material wealth as if that was the only solution to one’s problems”.

Christians, he said, should rather be content with the little they have and be very much concerned about their spiritual development.
