New Board of Directors of GNA to be inaugurated

Accra, April 27, GNA – The National Media Commission (NMC) would on Friday May 6, 2011 inaugurate a new Board of Directors for the Ghana News Agency, a State-Owned Media, a statement from the Commission said on Wednesday.

The statement, which Mr Alexander Bannerman, Deputy Executive Secretary, signed said the Boards of the Graphic Communication Group would be inaugurated on Wednesday May 4, 2011; New Times Corporation on Thursday May 5, 2011 and Ghana Broadcasting Corporation on May 10, 2011. The NMC under its First Chairman, Professor Kofi Kumado sought the interpretation of Article 168 of the 1992 Constitution on the appointment of Board Members of State-Owned Media from the Supreme Court and won the right. 27 April 11
