New Bible College commissioned

Accra, Sept 9, GNA – A Bible College to offer a free two-month intensive course leading to Certificate for Pastors, Church Leaders and laymen with the spiritual call to do the work of the Lord has been opened at Achimota in Accra.

The Rector of the College, Bishop Ben Arko Harrison, speaking at the commissioning said the College was not in competition with any institution.

He explained that it was only different from the traditional Bible School, Seminary or college because its courses were designed to meet the growing needs and equipping those prepared to do the work of God. The Rector said the College believed that the training of people for the Ministry should be given priority and made to be “Bible-centered” practical and Church-based.

Bishop Harrison stressed that the College was only to complement the traditional Bible institutions and Churches by providing theological training for Pastors as well as laymen.

He said that even though tuition was free, students were expected to pay a token fee for administrative purposes and called on the public to take advantage.
