New Asikuma Omanhene calls for peace and unity

Breman Asikuma (C/R) June 10, GNA – Odeefuo Nana Amoakwa Buadu VIII, the newly installed Omanhene of the Breman Asikuma Traditional Area, has called for unity and cooperation among his people towards the accelerated development of their area. He noted that no meaningful development could take in an area plagued with conflicts and petty divisions.

Odeefuo Amoakwa Buadu made the call when he swore an oath of allegiance to the relevant traditional authorities at a ceremony to outdoor him as the paramount chief of Breman Asikuma. Odeefuo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, 41, known in private life as Mr Michael Baddoo, succeeded his late uncle, Odeefuo Nana Amoakwa Buadu VII, who died three years ago.

He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon and a BSc Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Nana Buadu promised to cooperate with the chiefs and people to facilitate the execution of developmental programmes. He encouraged the youth to value and pursue education but to resist the quest to fraudulently acquire wealth quick. Among those present were the District Chief Executive for the area, Madam Georgina Nkrumah Aboah, P. C. Appiah-Ofori, Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa and representatives from Shell Ghana and Togo where the Omanhene is currently working.
