New Anglican Bishop For Sunyani

Sunyani (Brong Ahafo), 10 Nov.,

The new Anglican Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese, Bishop Thomas Ampa Brient, has called on Christians to give practical meaning to prayers by working hard to find solutions to their problems. He said since God works in diverse ways, Christians should not only pray and fold their arms expecting “manner from heaven,” but rather take the initiative to solve their problems. Bishop Brient was preaching at his installation and enthronement service as the Anglican Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese at Sunyani yesterday. The Church which was first introduced in the Brong Ahafo Region in 1926, attained a diocesan status nine months ago with Bishop Brient as its overseer. “Christians should not cease praying but they should not expect everything to be done through prayers if they do not take concrete steps to stop their problems,” he emphasised.
