Needy girls receive package

Begoro (E/R), Sept 24, GNA – The Mumuadu Rural Bank at Osino has provided school items worth nine million cedis to 100 needy girls in the Fanteakwa District in support of girl-child education. Mr Stephen Peter-Andoh, the District Director of Education for Fanteakwa, said this when he presented the package to 23 of the beneficiaries at Begoro on Wednesday.

He said the donation was in response to an appeal made by the Regional Director of Education last year. Each beneficiary received a school bag, school uniform and a quantity of stationery.

Mr Peter-Andoh expressed his gratitude to the bank and appealed to other financial institutions operating in the district to assist to improve teaching and learning.
