Nduom’s campaign vehicle kills three in Salaga

A campaign vehicle belonging to Dr. Kwesi Nduom’s Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has been involved in a deadly accident at Salaga in the Northern region killing three people.

The Nissan Pick-up car with registration number GT 2926 – 12 knocked down three Fulanis on a motorbike heading towards Gunjai from Salaga North in the East Gonja district.

The three Fulanis died on the spot while a child who was travelling with them suffered severe injuries and has been rushed to the Hospital for treatment.

According to a local reporter, Mensah Christopher Amoako, the pickup was heading to the grounds where flagbearer of PPP, Dr. Nduom is expected to hold a rally.

Dr. Nduom on Tuesday addressed a rally at Tatale and was expected in Salaga Wednesday before the accident occurred.

Meanwhile, the Salaga Police Commander has confirmed the accident adding that investigations have commenced into the incident.
