DR. NDUOM LEADS A STRATEGIC CPP MISSION TO ORGANISE AND WIN TO BECOME THE MAJORITY PARTY IN THE CENTRAL REGION
The CPP Flagbearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom will starting today engage in a strategic mission to the Central Region to assess the strength of organization work done so far in preparation for launching of the CPP’s National Campaign for the December 7th elections. He will hold a meeting today at Agona Swedru involving party executives, parliamentary candidates and leading members from the Agona East, Agona West and Gomoa East constituencies. Dr. Nduom is determined to lead the CPP to win a majority in the Central Region for the party this year. He is confident that the CPP will win at least ten seats in the Central Region.
On Friday August 22nd, the campaign will be in the Awutu-Senya constituency where in addition to the monitoring work, he will participate in the program to elect a Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency. On Saturday, he will be in the KEEA constituency for a festival in Abreshia. On Sunday, he will be in the Mfantseman West Constituency to meet with the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa and the Mfantseman West Constituency executives, parliamentary candidates and leading members. On Tuesday, August Dr. Nduom will inaugurate the polling station executives for the CPP in the Twifo-Ati-Morkwa constituency. He will then turn his attention to the Western Region. To Dr. Nduom, job creation is the main issue facing the region. Therefore, “ Edwumawura†must be given the opportunity to come and lead the nation with his job creation strategies so that the people in the region can also benefit. The region has tourism, farming and fishing opportunities that have been neglected. With the many educational institutions sited there, the Central Region could easily become a technology center for the country.
The Central Region should not be as poor as it is. The region has lost several thousands of jobs due to the closing down of the Saltpond Ceramic factory, numerous brick factories, the sugar factory in Komenda, a bamboo products factory, many state farms that today would be major large scale farms and many others. The fishing industry has been left without serious attention and thus has resulted in making hard working fishermen poor. Campaign Committee – Nduom for President 21 – 08– 08
