NDP threaten court injunction on 2012 polls

Information coming in has it that, the National Democratic Party (NDP) is threatening to secure an injunction on the December Elections should the EC refuse to accept their nomination forms.

Referring to the laws of the Electoral Commission, the NDP said the EC is at fault for not accepting their nomination forms.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s head office on Friday, Chairman Josiah Aryeh spelt out the EC’s regulations 7 and 8 which justifies the circumstances surrounding their submission and called on the nation to judge their case.

They have said they are in consultation with their lawyers and would be heading to court to seek an injunction on the 2012 elections if the EC still refuses to accept their nomination forms.
