Ndoum decries under-development in Volta region

Ve-Deme (V/R), May 21, GNA – Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, aspiring presidential candidate of the Conventions Peoples Party (CPP) has decried the level of under-development and deprivation in the Volta region, describing the situation as deluding. He said the region’s frontier with Togo and its proximity to Ghana’s capital, Accra, should have made it a vibrant commercial destination in the country.

Dr Nduom made these observations at Ve-Deme during a recent tour of the region. Comparatively, he said despite the situation, the region could not be said to be a deprived region as was the case with the three northern regions. Dr Nduom urged the people of the region to forge better partnership with the new CPP, which he noted was ready to fight poverty, under-development and deprivation. 21 May 08
