Ndoum advocates “Skirt and blouse” voting

Winneba (C/R) Jan 1, GNA-The parliamentary candidate of the Convention Peoples’ Party, for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum has asked the electorate to vote for candidates who can forge national development and not solely on partisan bases. Dr. Ndoum said Ghana needed determined and resourceful leaders to transform the country voting for such people should not be confined to the political party one belong to.

Dr. Ndoum, who is also the Minister of Energy, said this at the 55th Speech and Prize-giving Day celebration of the Winneba Secondary School, at Winneba, which was on the: “The Education of the Child- a Joint Responsibility of Parents and Teachers.”

“Some of the political parties believe that in certain regions and constituencies, even snakes can get elected as long as they belong to the right political party. If today the phenomenon called “Skirt and Blouse” voting is here with us, let us celebrate it.”

Dr. Ndoum said Ghanaians were learning the value of individual achievements and performance.

He asked Ghanaians to choose the best candidate during the December 7 polls to be rewarded with a good government.

A Member of the Council of State and Chief of Assin Kushia in the Central Region, Nana Pra Agyensaim VI said the act of bringing up children should be taught at the pre, post and anti-Natal clinics.
