NDC’s victory was an act of God-Togbega Gabusu

Hohoe, Jan. 23, GNA – Togbega Gabusu VI, President of the Gbi Traditional Council on Thursday observed that the victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 2008 elections was an act of God.

“Your clarion call for change has come through”, and that “it was the good Lord who has raise them to that Office”, he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

“I wish to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt congratulations to you for your elevation to the Presidency,” he said of President John Evans Atta Mills.

Togbega Gabusu, the immediate past President of the Volta Region House of Chiefs wished the new government well as it pursues its agenda to meet the aspirations of the citizenry.

He also congratulated Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the Electoral Commission, Security Agencies, the Media and Ghanaians for their roles in ensuring that the elections were peaceful.
