NDC’s commitment to drug fight is unquestionable – NACOB

The Executive Secretary of the Narcotics Control Board has described the current government’s track record in fighting drugs as unquestionable and very good.

Yaw Akrasi Sarpong has therefore warned cynics who are using a recent bust of cannabis flown from Accra to Heathrow to be mindful of their comments.

Akrasi Sarpong in an interview with XYZ News said NACOB will be vindicated at the end of investigations into how the haul which has been described by UK officials as the biggest seizure in three years slipped through security at Ghana’s Kotoka International Airport.

Mr. Akrasi Sarpong however added that the current government has done enough in fighting the drug trade.

“Let anybody say what they want to say but the track record of the NDC and the current administration under narcotics is not excellent but very good” Mr. Akrasi Sarpong said.

Mr. Akrasi Sarpong added that all effort will be made to fight the drug trade in Ghana.
