NDC Youth urges former MCE to stop challenging President

Takoradi, March 20, GNA – Mr. Kobina Pra Annan, former Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), has been asked to stop challenging President John Evans Atta Mills for removing him (former MCE) from office.

Mr. Joseph Adjei, spokesperson for a group calling itself National Democratic Congress (NDC) Concerned Youth in the Metropolis, made the call at a press conference at Takoradi on Friday. Mr Adjei said the group has noted that following the removal of Mr. Annan as MCE, he has been appearing on radio programmes in the metropolis making all manner of allegations against the President and the NDC.

The Spokesperson of the group said the conduct of Mr. Annan amounted to challenging the power of the President to appoint and remove ministers and other office holders. Mr. Adjei commended the President for removing Mr Annan as the MCE of Sekondi-Takoradi.
