NDC Youth Leader Proposes ‘Big Push Road’ Naming to Honor President Mahama’s Vision

National Democratic Congress youth organizer for Nkoranza South constituency, in the Bono East Region, Ofosu Yaw Isaac (Yaw White), has called on President John Dramani Mahama to name the Big Push road projects as “Big Push Road.”

Speaking on Fabea FM in an exclusive interview with Apiah-Kubi, Yaw White noted that the project is a novel vision that should have a lasting impact, rather than being a fleeting phenomenon.

In his statement, Yaw White recalled some roads and projects named after their sources or people.

He added that the Big Push project, upon completion, could be historic in Ghana’s infrastructural and developmental projects, and therefore deserves backing for the naming.

“This is a novel vision from President Mahama, and should not be just white-washed,” Yaw White said.

He emphasized that the Big Push project will create job opportunities for youths and address infrastructural challenges.

“I reiterate to suggest that there should be a ‘Big Push Road’ name at every region where there is a Big Push project,” Yaw White opined.

He concluded that the $10 billion budget invested in the project deserves recognition and should be identified through the naming of these roads.
