The Volta Regional Youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Friday presented foodstuff and detergents to the Ho Central Prisons in memory of the late President John Evans Atta Mills.

Mr Egypte Kudoto, Regional Youth Organiser of the Party who presented the items said the gesture was in remembrance of the late President and his legacy of giving to the less privileged on his birthday.

He said it was also to support government’s new initiative of re-branding the Prison Service under the “Efiase” project.

Deputy Director of Prisons, Victor Agbelengor, in charge of the Prisons commended the donors for the foresight and appealed for drugs and a generator for the inmates.

An inmate appealed to the public to provide them with mosquito nets to protect them against mosquito bites.
