Goaso (B/A), Jan 21, GNA – Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) have destroyed the gods of a fetish priest at Mehame in Asutifi District for allegedly prophesying that Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, the defeated presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), would win the 2008 presidential election.
The youth claimed Okomfo Kofi Agyapong prophesised during the campaigning period that the NPP presidential candidate would win the last elections by ‘one touch’ and that if it did not happen the youth should destroy his gods as well as the shrine.
When contacted Okomfo Agyapong denied the allegation, saying the youth only wanted to harass him.
He said he had informed his supreme gods about the incident and they would deal with the culprits.
The fetish priest added that he had also reported the matter to the police.
