NDC would have jailed me if they won the 2016 elections – Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has stated that his party’s victory in the 2016 elections saved him from going to jail.

Boasiako, popularly referred to as Wontumi., claimed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would have ensured he was jailed, had they won the elections. He went on to say that the former president and his brother, John and Ibrahim Mahama, had connived to ensure that he was jailed.

“John Mahama and Ibrahim Mahma hate me with passion without any reason; they just don’t like the idea that I am a proud member of the NPP, and that is why they hate me”, he added.

He went on to say that it was by God’s grace that the NPP won the 2016 elections. He further stated that he has till date, done nothing to offend the Mahamas’ yet they have always hated him without justification.

Wontumi also added that the brothers have done all in their power to collapse all his businesses. He claimed that all his businesses were conducted without breaches to any law of the land.
