NDC Women Organizer Elected Vice President of Council of African Political Parties

The National Women Organizer of the ruling party,National Democratic Congress has been elected as the Vice President of the Council of African Political Parties’ Women’s Wing at the just ended conference which was organized in Khartoum, Sudan.

The conference deliberated on ” The African woman’s political participation in human life”.

This is another step taken by Africa to empower more women in the societies in which they find themselves.

The gathering, which had almost all political parties from African countries fully represented saw Hajia

Mahama emerging as the winner for vice presidential position after votes had been cast.

The delegates were optimistic that Hajia Mahama will deliver considering her political background and activities in Ghana.

The National Women Organizer of the NDC expressed her appreciation to the delegates for the confidence and honor bestowed upon her. She promised to work harder to improve gender balance and equity in Africa. Hajia Mahama also emphasized on the need to work harmoniously with all stakeholders to make women more relevant in Politics both in Africa and the world.
