NDC wants Investigations over May 9 Disaster Fund

The NDC has raised the red flag over the disbursement of monies meant for victims of the May 9 stadium disaster.

A statement signed by the propaganda secretary of the NDC, Richard Quashigah, alleges that funds running into millions of Ghana Cedis and raised by the then NPP government from corporate institutions and individuals in local and foreign currencies for victims of the disaster have not been adequately accounted for.

The statement criticizes Mr Obetsebi Lamptey for going on tour with the NPP flagbearer Nana Akuffo Addo while the victims suffer.

The statement urges the Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO, to investigate Mr Obetsebi Lamptey.

In reaction, Mr Obetsebi describes the allegation as a lousy propaganda.

He said the appropriate government agencies have records of how much was collected on behalf of victims of the stadium disaster.
