NDC USA vice chair visits Atlanta branch

First Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch in the USA has paid a visit to the Atlanta branch of the party.

The visit, according to Evra Prince Agyeman, was aimed at socialising with party followers and to encourage them to keep up the work, to ensure the party succeeds in government.

He traveled from his Maryland base to visit the chapter, officials have revealed.

The meeting, after deliberations recognised the contributions of members who have supported the party in diverse ways over the years.

They received certificates of recognition and were encouraged to continue their good work and help strengthen the party’s structures across USA and beyond.

The chapter, however, acknowledged that the first quarter of the year had been extremely challenging for Ghanaians back home, and thereby urged government to take cogent steps to address the frequent power outages and fix the sliding economy.

“We mention in particular the recent power outages which are hampering the growth of the economy and stalling the progress of individual businesses. We know that things are difficult now, but we believe that very soon all these issues would be address,” Mr Agyeman assured.

The group, on that score, urged Ghanaians to remain optimistic as President John Mahama take measures to make life bearable for the citizenry.
