The NDC-USA wish to express our profound sympathy and concern about the fire that razed and destroyed His Excellency, the former President Rawlings’ Residence, on Saturday, February 13th, 2010.
We are saddened by the loss of personal mementos, records and property; and relieved that the founder of NDC, his immediate family and staff were not physically harmed by the fire.
We commend the President, His Excellency, President Mills for the concern he and his administration has shown in this matter.
The kind and sympathetic response from the majority of Ghanaians, including His Excellency, ex-President Kufuor underscores the decency and maturity of the Ghanaian spirit.
It is our sincere hope that the former President and his family will take solace from the overwhelming support of Ghanaians and ultimately recover from their loss.
