NDC To Remove Moctar Bamba

The Minority NDC in Parliament is to initiate an action to strip Alhaji Moctar Bamba of his position as Member of Parliament for Wenchi East.

Mr. Alban Bagbin, Minority Leader in Parliament, dropped the hint at the inauguration of the Jahan Training College chapter of the ?Bagbin Fan Club,? here. He said ?Anybody who is corrupt and is not fit to be a minister of state is equally not qualified to be a Member of Parliament.? He continued, ?The Legislature is a place for honourable people and has no room for dishonourable personalities like the former Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs. You cannot be dishonourable and be with honourable people.

Mr Bagbin said the Minority NDC would raise the issue in parliament and remove him as his action was incompatible with the conduct of a parliamentarian.

Mr. Bagbin who is Member of Parliament for Nadowli North in the Upper West Region and chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, said in spite of the fact that punishment for corruption under President Kufour?s administration is to ask corrupt ministers of state to resign, the Minority NDC would not relent in its effort at exposing wrong doing, corruption and embezzlement of state funds.

He charged the Fan Club members to work hard to win more support for the NDC, which is highly committed to equitable distribution of the country?s wealth.

Mr. Bagbin said, ?The NPP believes in wealth creation and not wealth distribution and has no agenda of making life better for the majority of Ghanaians,? and should therefore be voted out. He advised the youth to be guided by the truth in all their endeavours, saying ?truth is the only way to have comfort and win souls.?
