NDC talks tough ahead of primaries

The National Democratic Congress has set guidelines for members of the Party who may want to contest the upcoming primaries.

In a statement released in Accra, and signed by General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the Party said “no Region/Constituency, has the mandate to vary the filing fees and election procedures agreed by NEC, for both the Parliamentary and Presidential Primaries.”

It added that “all Regions/Constituencies are being advised to stick to the rules as approved by NEC.”

“Failure to do so,” the Party says, “will be met by the appropriate Constitutional sanctions.”

The Party goes to the polls November 7.
