Obuoho(E/R),Nov.11, GNA – Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday called on the supporters and sympathizers of the party to be vigilant during the 2008 elections for the party to regain power.

He asked the youth who had attained the voting age to register when the Voters register was re-opened for the 2008 elections. Mr Ofosu Ampofo former MP for Fanteakwa made the call when he was given a rousing welcome at Obuoho in the Fanteakwa district on his first visit to the community after his defeat in the 2004 elections. He was attending the Constituency’s NDC delegates’ conference at Feyiase and made stop-over at some communities. The people hugged and shook hands with him as he waved to them, some of them shouting “we still love you even though we lost the 2004 elections”.

He expressed his appreciation to the people who voted for him, saying “he lost the election because NPP rigged the election in the constituency.”

Mr Ofosu Ampofo asked the supporters to be extra vigilant in 2008 elections to enable NDC recapture the seat.
