NDC primaries: Brogya Genfi disqualified over forgery of signatures

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is to initiate criminal investigations against the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser of the party, Mr Brogya Genfi, for forging signatories to his endorsed forms.

He’s been accused of forging 122 signatures of the 128 branch members whom he claimed endorsed his forms, including a deceased person called Cosmos Bayor.

His action has ultimately disqualified him from the Suame seat contest in the upcoming NDC primaries.

Mr Genfi was also unable to meet the requirement, including a bank draft of GHc10,000 and a curriculum vitae, the constituency secretary, Nurudeen Haruna, told a press conference.

The party said it only recognizes Mr Francis Dodovi, a member of the party’s communication’s team, as the candidate to contest on the ticket of the party in the 2016 general election.
