NDC poised to unseat NPP from Atwima-Mponua seat

Nyinahin (Ash), Aug 16, GNA-Foot soldiers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima-Mponua constituency, have been urged to adopt a house-to-house campaign to enable the NDC to win the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Nana Osei Bonsu, National Vice-Chairman of the NDC, who made the call said, “It is now time for Ghanaians to weigh the administrations of NDC and NPP and vote massively for NDC in the 2008 General Elections”.

He was addressing the constituency executives and foot soldiers at Nyinahin in the constituency as part of his tour of the Ashanti Region. Nana Bonsu said increase in the prices of petroleum and other goods, the energy crisis and empty promises made by the NPP during the last electioneering campaign proved that the party had failed the nation.

He urged the executives to raise funds for the NDC since the party was cash strapped at the moment. Mr. Joshua William Agyekum, a National Executive Member of NDC, asked supporters to stand firm despite false allegations being propagated by the party’s opponents. He also appealed to them to bury their differences and select a candidate capable of unseating the NPP Member of Parliament.
