NDC picks parliamentary candidate for Asutifi North

Kenyasi (B/A), June 26, GNA – Mr Eric Addai, an official of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), has been elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Asutifi North in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Mr Addai, 40, polled 112 out of 151 valid votes cast to beat his only opponent, Mr Francis Fordjour, a former District Chief Executive of Asutifi District, who got the remaining 39 votes. More than 300 delegates and observers from the Region attended the primaries, which were held under the supervision of the Electoral Commission.
Mr Addai, a graduate of the University of Ghana with a post-graduate training in Singapore, thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work assiduously to restore hope among the rank and file of the Party.
