NDC, NPP poaching our members – PNC bemoans

The People’s National Convention has said the two major political parties are consistently poaching their members to enable them win specific constituencies during parliamentary elections.

According to the party, the ruling National Democratic Congress and the main opposition New Patriotic Party appear to believe in the quality of the individuals embedded in the PNC.

Speaking to Morning Starr host Nii Arday Clegg Tuesday, the General Secretary of the PNC Bernard Mornah said there appears to be a conscious attempt by the major parties to pull their members who are strategically placed in their respective constituencies across the country.

“In the fourth republic, it is obvious that PNC members are being targeted, particularly in areas where the parties feel that we have such personalities.

“ And I have said that the fact that the NPP and NDC consistently look into the fold of the PNC to identity people and use them to win certain constituencies shows that the PNC is replete with quality members and that is why Ghanaians should vote for our party” he stated.

He added that although some members of the party have gleefully fallen for the material inducements of the major parties, others have been very committed and stayed loyal to the Nkrumahist party in spite of their challenges.
