NDC MPs to visit jailed colleague

Members of the Minority NDC in Parliament will this morning visit their colleague, MP for Keta Dan Abodakpi currently serving a ten-year jail term at Nsawam prisons for causing financial loss to the state.

The visit is part of a series of activities lined up to herald an end to their boycott of parliament which began last Tuesday.

The NDC’s National Executive Council comprising the leadership in parliament and the party, met yesterday to deliberate on the boycott and other pressing issues arising out of the 10 year jail term handed the Keta MP last Monday.

The Minority’s boycott is to protest what the NDC calls government’s persecution of its members through judicial manipulation.
