NDC members urged to uphold tenets of probity

Mr. Pascal Lamptey, Ketu South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has called on members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to urgently uphold the tenets of probity and accountability for equity.

He asked the Party’s followers to consider every day as an opportunity to practise fairness to re-affirm the 31st December 1981 revolutionary era anti-corruption drive. “It is the 31st December Revolution which really created the platform that exists to date, enabling the people to raise their voices against corruption and deviant official behaviour,” Mr. Lamptey said.

He was addressing a joint 1981 revolution 32nd anniversary commemoration, by the Volta Regional and Ketu South branches of the United Cadre Front (UCF) of the ruling NDC at Aflao.

Mr Lamptey entreated the cadre front to get united and maintain their torch-bearer role, to help keep the NDC, a unique political mass movement from the others.

Madam Mercy Agbenorwu, National UCF Women’s Co-ordinator, said the tenets of the revolution were even more relevant today than before.

Madam Agbenorwu asked women to organize themselves into groups to benefit from micro finance opportunities.

Mr. Bright Amedjoe, Regional UCF Chairman, asked cadres in Aflao to maintain the close eyes kept on nation wreckers across the border during the revolution period.

Mr. Samuel Adablah, Regional UCF Secretary, commended the ruling party for its interest in the UCF, and asked all to consider themselves as belonging to the movement, and help mobilize support for the party.

He appealed to government appointees to listen to pieces of advice from the cadres to avoid deviating from the ideology upon which the NDC was built and sustained.
