NDC is Ghana’s most modern party, says Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has launched new identity cards for members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The cards were launched during Thursday’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Local Institute of Government in Accra.

Launching the new cards, President Mahama, who is also the Leader of the NDC, said not only will the new cards aid administration and management within the party but also they will make it easier to “tell which of our members is where and registered in which part of our country.”

“I will say that the NDC has shown the way as being the most modern party in Ghana by being the first to have an IT-based, modern identification cards and database for its members,” President Mahama said.

The new ID cards are biometric and were acquired for the biometric registration of members of the NDC.

They will be used for the ruling party’s internal elections, which begin next month.
