Former Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman and a leading member of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Lawyer John Owusu Agyeman has said passionately that some party executives have made the NDC sick due to lies and manipulations.
Delineating on what caused the party’s massive defeat, John Owusu Agyemang, said the NDC party was a unified party but the victory in the 2008 elections brought about divisions among some executives who were side-lined during the time for appointments.
John Owusu Agyemang who was speaking in an interview with Akwesi Boateng, host of ‘Make on Hot93.9Fm in Accra argued further that, the power they attained corrupted some members of the party:
“When we were going to vote for new regional executives for the party in December 2009, I was contesting but before I could go to Sunyani to cast my vote, I received calls from some members of the party who told me not to contest because some bigwigs in the party did not like the idea of me contesting because I will prevent them from doing what they wanted and another reason was that my leg is amputated and cannot work effectively”, He disclosed sorrowfully.
