NDC extends condolences to families of victims of plane crash

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Monday extended its condolences to the families of victims of last Saturday’s plane crash at Accra which claimed some lives.

A statement issued in Accra by Mr. George Lawson, Deputy General Secretary in-charge of Operations said “News of the plane crash came as a shock not only to families of victims but also to all Ghanaians and the world at large”.

“The NDC shares in the sorrow and trauma of the bereaved families in this difficult time as they mourn our unfortunate brothers and sisters who met their untimely death on that rainy day.”

“The party wishes to commend the military, police, the fire service, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), management of Ghana Airport Company, the ambulance services, health authorities and other rescue agencies whose timely response to the crash scene helped prevent more disasters.”

“We welcome the committee set up to investigate the incident, and hope it would work relentlessly to enable the world to establish the cause of the crash.”

“Once again our sympathies go out to the bereaved families in these trying times.”**
