Koforidua, Jan. 5, GNA – The Eastern Regional Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed its appreciation to people in the region for their trust in the party and voting for it during the just ended presidential and parliamentary elections. The party has therefore appealed to its supporters in the region to celebrate the victory moderately in order not to provoke anybody or arouse any ill feelings.
The Eastern Regional Chairman of the party, Mr Julius Debrah said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Monday. He urged all branches of the NDC to use the victory to build bridges between the party and other political parties in their constituencies because the party would need the total energies of all Ghanaians to fulfil its mandate.
Mr Debrah reminded all members of the party that the promise of the party for a better Ghana started from the day the party was declared the winner of the elections. He said the actions of the party and all its activists needed to make Ghanaians truly feel the promise of a better Ghana.
