NDC elects Parliamentary candidate for Bolgatanga

Zuarungu(UER), April 30, GNA – Mr Akolibire Opam Brown was last Sunday introduced as National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Bolgatanga Constituency at a rally held at Zuarungu. Mr Donald Adabire, Former Upper East Regional Minister under the NDC regime called on the electorate to vote for him and Professor John Evans Atta Mills as President in the December 7 elections.

He pointed out that NDC was the only political party sympathetic to the plight of Ghanaians as it demonstrated through the provision of electricity, potable water, health facilities and assistance to farmers. Mr Adabire expressed concern about the NPP Government’s inability to rehabilitate broken down dams in the North to enhance agriculture production and pledged the NDC’s commitment to improve agriculture production.

He called on NDC activists, supporters and sympathisers to ensure their children who had attained 18 years registered during the re-opening of the voters’ register and vote for the Party during the election.

Mr Opam Brown, elected unopposed expressed appreciation to the people for the confidence reposed in him. He urged supporters of the Party in Bolgatanga Constituency to bury their differences and rally behind him for a resounding victory on December 7.
