NDC elects Parliamentary Candidate for Asokwa

Kumasi, Aug. 23, GNA – Mr Ismael Butler, a Civil Contractor, has been elected as Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Asokwa in the Ashanti Region.

Mr Butler polled 75 votes to defeat Mr Edmund Appiah Mensah, a staff of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, who had 35 votes, at the Party’s Primaries held in Kumasi at the weekend. Mr Butler pledged to initiate programmes that would unite the people in the Constituency.

Mr Mensah said he would be part of the campaign team of Mr Butler to ensure the electoral victory of the main opposition Party in Election 2004.
