NDC elects new executives for Oforikrom Constituency

Kumasi, Nov. 9, GNA – The Oforikrom Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Alhaji Hamidu Mohammed as its new Chairman. This was at the party’s delegates’ conference held in Kumasi at the weekend.

Other officers elected included Messrs David Kumatse, Vice Chairman, Mustapha Mohammed, Secretary; Evans Ablordeppey, the Organiser; Matthew Agvemor, Treasure; Hope Keku, Youth Organiser and Madam Amina Jonhson, Women’s Organiser In all, 215 delegates voted in the election supervised by the Electoral Commission.

Mr Alex Attivor, Ashanti Regional second Vice-Chairman of the NDC, commended the delegates for the peaceful conduct of the poll. He urged the executives to operate within the party’s Constitution to ensure discipline and growth. Mr Ablordeppey, on behalf of the executives, pledged to embark on a membership drive to be able to win the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2012 general elections.
