NDC elects candidate for Jaman North

Sampa (B/A), July 23, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Mr Alex Asum-Ahensah, a Graduate Teacher and Former Presiding Member of Jaman District Assembly, as its candidate for the Jaman-North Constituency.

Mr Ahum-Ahensah polled 144 votes to beat his rivals Mr S.K. Sie, who had 54 votes and Mrs Margaret Ababio, 14 votes, in the primaries conducted by officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) at Sampa in Brong Ahafo Region.

Mr Asum-Ahensah thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and promised to work hard to win the seat for the Party. He advised party supporters to close their ranks and remain united.

Alhaji Collins Dauda, Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman of the Party, expressed the hope that the NDC would win all the seats in the Region. He urged the Party’s supporters to intensify their campaign strategies to win more people into their fold.
