NDC elect Parliamentary candidates for Orphan constituencies

Paga (UE) , Nov. 20,, GNA- The National Democratic Congress(NDC) on Saturday held primaries in its “orphan constituencies” in the Upper East.

In the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Mr Abuga Pele, National the Youth Employment (NYEP) Coordinator polled 312 votes to beat other contestants including local District Chief Executive, Mr Thomas Dalu, who secured 146 votes.

Mr Mark Woyongo, Upper East Regional Minister, who contested for the Navrongo Central Constituency, polled 248 votes to beat two other contestants;Mr Samson Chiragia and Mr Jacob Adongo, who polled 109 and 5 votes respectively.

At Bawku Central, a Deputy Minister of Education, Mr Mahama Ayariga, secured 319 votes to beat his rival ; Mr Issahaku Bukari, who got 97 votes, in what political analysts in the Region expected a fear-fest contest.
