NDC drained the country’s resources and left huge debts – Osafo Marfo

The Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Marfo has disclosed that the Mahama led administration drained the country’s resources and left huge debts which cannot be paid by the New Patriotic Party.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo led administration inherited huge debts and needs time to “fix” the rotten economy the NDC left behind in order to give Ghanaians the best of life.

He said “We inherited poor economy and debt but we will not pay majority of NDC debt because if we try to pay all the NDC debt, Nana Addo will not be able do any development”.

Hon. Osafo Marfo who was speaking to delegates at the NPP’s 25th Annual Delegates Congress at KNUST indicated that the NPP is working very hard to ensure that the debts left behind are been settled and was optimistic that Ghana will work again.

He, however, promised the members of the NPP that ex-gov’t officials who will be found culpable of corruption will be prosecuted by the NPP saying: “We are going through papers, after that majority of the NDC party corrupt officials will be prosecuted. We don’t want to lose any case in court for accusing NDC official as corrupt therefore we are looking into some of their contracts to get concrete evidence”.
